PO Files

Hello,

I'm trying to translate my first PO file, but I'm experiencing some difficulty. When I create a project and add the PO file, it automatically uses the "PO Files" filter, however I get an error "msgid not found before msgstr" when the file tries to load.

It's not a super huge file, so I looked over the whole thing in notepad, and I cannot find any instance where msgid does not precede msgstr. At the client's suggestion I also downloaded Poedit from <http://www.poedit.net/>, and the file opens fine within this application.

Are there any tools out there to help me identify this problem? I suppose I can send the file back to the client as well, but I would like to know for sure that it is a problem with the file they are providing me rather than a bug in Lingobit or another factor that I'm not aware of.

Alright, I solved my own problem!

The problem consisted of some code at the top of the file, see below. The empty "msgid" and "msgstr"strings were the main problem, as well as some of the data in quotes below it. To fix this, I added "#" at the beginning of these strings, so that Lingobit picks up this invalid text as comments and can parse the file properly.

We fixed the problem with PO files localization. No it localizes files created with POEdit.

The fix is available in 6.0.5830 and later builds.
