Post Lingobit parser settings
Hi. We are evaluating Lingobit Localizer (Enterprise Trial version 6.0.6124) and facing some challenger in parsing our XML and SQL files. We would like to have the context of the strings of the XML files in Lingobit Localizer: Category key+Group Key+TextItem key. This would be essential for us because the naming of the elements and attributes is essential in our case. Currently, the string ID is just TextItem key, when using the XPath expression "./@key". In help and in your web site it is said that two modes can be used in XML localization: File mode and XPath mode, but not very clearly said, whether you can somehow select the mode?

We have SQL files where some values are defined between the single braces (') and they are not to be localized. Is locking the only way to prevent localization, or can SQL parser settings be modified?

Hello,

Thanks for question!

You can try Lingobit Localizer 7.0 beta at www.lingobit.com/localizer7.exe. It supports XPath expressions to define a key for each element.
You are switching to XPath mode by declaring any non-empty XPath for localizable strings.

If you are using SQL parser, only Lock can be used to exclude SQL items from localization. You can also use Custom Text-based format to parse SQL files. It allows to specify regular expressions for localizable strings. Custom formats were added in version 7.0. I can send you base regex for SQL format if you need.

Best Regards,
Michael
