Post Google Translation
Hi,

Our translator used Google Translate on our entire project, which was around 10,000 entries. Now when he is trying to update a field the remaining duplicate entries are not being updated automatically, as they would if he was translating without Google Tool. Is there a way to update duplicate entries after they have been translated using the Google tool?

For example, Let's say for the field &OK and it's translated to Aceptar in Spanish using Google without the Amperstand, which needs to added to each Aceptar entry. This would be great for him to update one entry and then update the remaining duplicate Aceptar entries. I did try and do a copy and paste on multiple rows it only copies one line at a time.

Thanks,
Laura

Hello Laura,

Thank you for suggestion. We fixed it in the latest build. You can download it from www.lingobit.com/localizer.exe.

Hi Michael,

We downloaded the latest version and are still seeing the same results. Our translator selects the entire project and selects Google Translate to translate every row in the project. He then selects a row that has duplicate text to translate and tries to edit the text but it doesn't change all the duplicate entries.
We did however, get this to work if he only does a Google Translate on the first row of the duplicate entries and then edits that row, it will update all the duplicate rows. Is this how the behavior is supposed to be? If so, can we possibly get the funtionality expanded?

Thanks,
Laura

Hello Laura,

I'm sorry, it was fixed only in Lingobit Localizer 6.0. You can download beta version from www.lingobit.com/l60.exe.

Hello,

I am trying to produce automatic Japanese translation (from English) with "Google Translate" with latest Lingobit Enterprise and it seem that it tries to translate "%s" which is a formatting which needs to be preserved unchanged (this is Win MFC project). Is there a way I can specify exclusions for Google Translate?

Hello,

We'll add an option to exclude all formatting strings from Google Translate. Currently you can use Validation to check all formatting strings after translation.
